Fettuccine with Walnuts
This is a great relaxed dinner party meal – it is quick to prepare, elegant and tastes wonderful. It really is as simple as the name suggests, with just a few added ingredients, it's delicious!
If you have the time to make your own pasta, all the better, but a good store-bought egg fettucine is always great.
Homemade or store bought fettuccine
100 grams chopped walnuts
50 grams pinenuts
80 grams of butter
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
2 – 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
2 tablespoons of Marsala
2 tablespoons of cream
Juice and zest of a lemon
Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper to taste
Boil pasta in well salted water just as you start the sauce.
Heat butter and garlic in a frying pan, adding cream and Marsala once butter is foaming.
Add nuts and allow to cook through without burning.
As soon as pasta is al dente add to the sauce and combine with parsley, lemon zest and juice.
Season to taste and serve immediately with freshly grated parmesan cheese.
